Engaging patients in chronic low back pain questionnaire design

TARGET patient co-investigators shortened and simplified the questions and answer choices for the two-question chronic low back pain questionnaire. The original questions were published in the Report of the NIH Task Force on research standards for chronic low back pain to help standardize a definition of chronic low back pain in research. The re-wording of the questions makes them easier to understand and more relatable for patients.
